Humidity / Temperature Measurement
|
HygroClip Probes |
HygroClip® is a high quality probe for the measurement of humidity and temperature. It is used in a wide range of applications including handheld instruments, dataloggers and transmitters. It provides digital and analogue output signals for both temperature and humidity. Humidity is measured in the range of 0…100 %rh, with an output signal of 0…1 V; the temperature is either -40…85 °C = -0.4…0.85 V (HygroClip S), or -40…60 °C = 0…1 V (HygroClip S3). The two versions are distinguishable by different probe colours. A digital one-wire data signal is also provided; this is ideally suited to OEM applications. The probes may be adjusted digitally by either software or handheld instruments. Calibration data is stored in an EE-Prom, therefore the probes can be used with any ROTRONIC display instrument or transmitter or even OEM instruments without the need for further adjustment.
HygroClip probes are available in many different versions. |

Air Velocity Transmitter for HVAC Applications
|
EE 65 SERIES |
EE65 air velocity transmitters are ideal for accurate ventilation control applications. They are operating on an innovative hot film anemometer principle. The E+E thin film sensor guarantees very good accuracy at low air velocity, which is not possible for conventional anemometers with commercial temperature sensors or NTC bead thermistors.
EE65 series are available with current or voltage output, the measuring range and the response time can be selected with jumpers by the user.
Low angular dependence enables easy, cost- effective installation |

300 T Solid-State Airflow Switch |
The Series 300 Airflow Switch is a line of solid-state highly reliable electronic switches, designed to monitor airflow in critical environments such as cleanrooms, semiconductor fabrication facilities, and operating rooms as well as in traditional electronic enclosures to warn of cooling degradation. These compact, easy-to-install units detect loss of airflow below a pre-programmed setpoint, and provide a fast and distinct warning of airflow deterioration.
Designed to replace traditional "sail" or "vane" switches, the Series 300 offers unparalleled resistance to shock and vibration. The Series 300 may be either uni-directional or bi-directional. The uni-directional model discriminates between forward and reversed airflow, indicating a fault if the airflow direction reverses. The bi-directional model accepts airflows from either of two opposing directions. |

The FlexiForce single element force sensor acts as a force sensing resistor in an electrical circuit. When the force sensor is unloaded, its resistance is very high. When a force is
applied to the sensor, this resistance decreases. The resistance can be read by connecting
a multimeter to the outer two pins, then applying a force to the sensing area. In the image below, the plot shows both the Force vs. resistance and Force vs. conductance (1/R).
Note that the conductance curve is linear, and therefore useful in calibration. |

Transmitters for Moisture Content in Oil |
EE36 Series |
E+E Transmitter Series EE36 are specially designed for the measurement of water content in oil. EE36 is ideal for online monitoring of moisture in lubrication or insulation oil, which is
very important for the long-term performance and adaptive maintenance of plant
and machinery.
For instance, moisture affects dramatically the insulation characteristics of electrical transformer oil and therefore continuous monitoring is extremely important.
Humidity measurement in oil
Similar to the humidity in the air, the water content in an oil can be described
by the absolute value in ppm or by the relative value aw:
- ppm (mass of water / mass of oil)
- aw (actual water content as fraction of the water content in the saturated oil)
aw = 0 corresponds to water-free oil, while aw = 1 describes fully saturated oil.
aw measurement with EE36 transmitter series is based on the outstanding long term stability and resistance to pollution of the E+E capacitive sensor elements series HC. |
