4.As per Specifications :-
As per Specifications of the laminate from which the final converting into
shape/size will take place
The laminate could be of 2/3/4/5 plies.
The basic ingredients of laminate could be :-
PET/BOPP/CPP/AL.FOIL/NYLON—FILMS/PAPER/MULTILAYER FILMS
OF LDPE,LLDPE/HDPE/m-LLDPE,
As per the atmospheric conditions where the packing is carried out:-
Normal atmosphere:- no modification in packing area.
Modified atmosphere
a) gas flushing :- During filling/sealing inert gas is
flushed to preserve
The packed goods from deterioration—common example is potato Vaffers /
chips
b) Vaccuming :- Pack is subjected to vacuuming whereby the germination of
bacteria/ fungus creation is terminated. Also, vacuuming greatly enhances
shelf life, further breakages are also, reduced greatly.

5.As per Printed matter / Graphics:- :-
a) Plain:-It could be without any
printed matter/graphics used
where it is a primary pack and
additional secondary pack is
available in the form of cartoon/
barrel/drum-metal/fibre/HDPE
LINED CRAFT PAPER bag Or HDPE
laminated bag or FIBCs/IBCs.
b) Printed:- it could be printed with the
matter as being provided by the user.
Generally it is a consumer pack.
As per Barrier properties required:-
The package could be depending upon the
barrier properties required by the user:-
The shelf life requirements
• Very low :- it is used just to carry
• Low :- carry and preserve
• Medium :- carry preserve forreasonable period
• High :- carry preserve for long periods
• Very high:- carry preserve for
extended shelf life
The package could depend upon mode of
packing :-
Manual :- where preformed bags/
pouches are individually dosed,weighed and sealed
Semi Automatic :- where preformed
bags/pouches are manually held for
automatic
Dozing cum weighing—by way of
dozing M/cs and sealing again manually.
Automatic :- Precut width of roll is being
fed into the Form Fill and Seal M/cs for
Automatic weighing filling and sealing.
The package depends greatly on the
product to pack being manufactured by
the user ends.
Whether the packed goods requires
protection From the following:-
Unit/consumer pack :- they go in multiples
in a secondary pack such as cartoon.
It is ok for the domestic markets.
1/2/5/10/25 kg packs:- they too require a
secondary pack i.e.in multiples if pallatised
Or shipped individually may be for domestic
or exports.
Bulk :- Due to shear weight/shape or size it
necessitates secondary pack for shipment
i.e. for domestic for exports, in the form of
palletized loads.
By way of production process selected
Manual :- all operations to fabricate a
package is done manually ( it is out dated
and uneconomical to undertake)
Semi-Automatic :- some operations to
fabricate a package are carried out
automatically and some manually, i.e. it is
a combination of automation / manual
process. Suitable for tailor made/bulk to
very bulk/non traditional packs.
Automatic:- All operation to produce a
pack is carried out automatically.
Most of the Unit/consumer are
automatically produced.
