The Main Shaft is of Suitable Steel and Is Amply Proportioned to Withstand the Loads Imposed on it By Centrifugal Forces Caused by All Normal Uneven Distribution of the Charge in the Basket. The Bearings Supporting the Main Shaft are Heavy Duty Ball / Roller Bearings Which Have a Statistical Life of 5000 or More Running Hours. These Bearings are Grease Lubricated. Grease Retainers are Fitted to Ensure Long Lubricating Intervals.
The Basket Shell Which is Normally perforated (But Can Also be Without Perforations if so Required By the Client) is Adequately Thick to With Stand the Loads Caused By The Centrifugal Force Developed By the Charge in the Basket. The Shell As Well As the Top Flange Can Be Supplied in M.S., M.S. Rubber-Lined or SS (AISI 304 or 316). The Basket Bottom Plate is of M.S. and Lined at The Top and Bottom Surfaces By Rubber of 16 swg S.S. as Applicable. The Basket Hub is of Close Grained Cast Iron.
The Drive System Consists of 415V/3ph/50Hz Squirrel Cage Induction TEFC Electric Motor Which Drives the Basket Through V-Belts. The Motor is Mounted at The Basket Casing (Outer Drum) and There Is Provision for Tensioning the Belts, Except for The Models 40-5, 40-7 and 50-5 All Other Models are Fitted With Centrifugal Clutch Pulley at the Motor Shaft. These Clutches are Heavy Duty Type Designed Specially for Centrifuge Duties.
These Centrifuges are Fitted With Heavy Duty Three Point Pendulum Suspension for Vibration Absorption. Hemispherical Bearings are Used At Both The Ends of the Suspension Rods.
Centrifuges Model 40-5, 40-7, 50-5 are Fitted With Ferodo-Lined Foot Operated Disc Brakes, All other Models are Fitted With Ferodo-Lined Hand Operated External Shoe Brakes, All These Brakes are Heavy Duty Type Designed to Bring the Loaded Basket Which Has Heavy Inertia to an Effective Stop in 35 to 50 Second.
This Shall Normally be M.S or Rubber-Lined M.S or S.S ( AISI 304 or 316) at The Contact Surfaces.
