Harmonic Filter Cubicles |
These are stand-alone units with different ratings starting from 15-kVAR to 75-kVAR. These are normally used across individual loads, where the Reactive Power Compensation is required at the load end itself to reduce the line current.
These can be switched ON or OFF with current logic. Supplied optionally with incoming switch fuse unit.
The Harmonic Filter switching is either through thyristors or contactors. |

Harmonic Filter Panels |
The basic purpose here is centralized Reactive Power Compensation with Harmonic Mitigation. Automatic control is provided using Automatic Power Factor Control relays.
The switching of individual steps is through contactors or thyristors. With thyristor switching it is possible to have panels at higher voltages (upto 690 V), and with large size of single step (108-kVAR).
Based on the load variation pattern, the minimum and maximum size of steps can be determined to maintain optimum power factor. These will help partly mitigate the harmonics from the system. |

Our Services |
During the design stage of a project, we shall provide support for arriving at the correct method of reactive power compensation. Based on the proposed single line diagrams and the load details, the calculations shall help avoid repetitive works at later stage. It will also avoid wrong selection of capacitors, especially in case where, the power system has non-linear loads.

For Running Industries, We Provide Following Services; |
• Complete system study to understand the needs of reactive power compensation.
• Systemstudies to decide the nature of compensation to be provided.
• Harmonic and power analysis over a period of time for entire plant or specific loads.
• Simulating the systems to design the appropriate harmonic mitigation equipment.
• Prepare the reports along with the basic parameters of the system that is suggested.
• Harmonic analysis reports for submission to utility companies, along with representation, if required. |
We have the latest 3 - phase, 4 - wire YOKOGAWA make CW - 240 Power and Harmonic Analyzer to conduct these studies. This meter has memory capability. |
Studies can be conducted for power parameters on EHV, HV and LV side, with the help of instruments transformers. |
During the studies the load need not be cut-off. |
